Moving Work In and Out

Exporting

Exporting keeps your work portable.

3 min read

Draftroom is designed to help you organize and create, not trap your work.

You can export Systems and Projects so you can back up your work, archive a project, move content elsewhere, or share structure with someone else.

When to export

  • You want a local backup of a System or Project
  • A project is finished and you want to archive it
  • You need to continue the work outside Draftroom
  • You want to share the structure or content with someone else
  • You're migrating to a new workspace or organization

What gets exported

When you export a System, you get the System context and its Artifacts. When you export a Project, you get the Project content and its Drafts.

Your work is yours. Exporting is always available, not gated behind a plan upgrade.

Portable by design

The goal of Draftroom is to give your work better structure, not to lock it in. If you build something valuable in Draftroom, you should be able to take it with you.
